Biography

Praise kusi, born; March 11, 1998, Fourth son of Mr and Mrs Kusi, is an American Singer, producer and fashion designer. Born in Kumasi, Ghana and raised in Phoenix,Az,USA. Praise Kusi gained recognition as a rapper from high school in Opoku Ware Senior High in 2015. He joined the 2016 Vodafone Icons High school edition and won the 3rd place for his school together with his team mates. In 2016, he started his professional music career by releasing hit by hit songs in school. Before he completed, he gained recognition as “Opoku ware best rapper “ of the year. Intent on pursuing a career as a singer, he released his first debut song titled “That part “ which he featured “lil bazzy”, cover song of Kanye west “that part “ with schoolboyQ, to critical and commercial success and later met his new producer called “sickbeatz”. Praise Kusi is widely know to be an Afrobeat singer & songwriter now and has been recognized by most artists and industry players. He is most critically acclaimed as the “Afro-beat god” and also “mr spiritual vibes” after releasing song titled “spiritual vibes” in 2021. African explored diverse musical elements such as Shakers, Drums, conga, percussion etc On the Album “Black melanin “ (2020), Fire (2019), Beautiful (2021) and Afro magic (2022). Drawing his inspiration from his culture/background, life events and experiences etc. Praise’s outspoken views and life outside of music has also received a significant influence. He has been a frequent talks of the day by media and blogs, and his comments on Afro-beat and Fashion. As a fashion model, he has collaborated with ‘Versotte fashion’. He also the founder of “PraiseRECORDS (CA)” and co-founder of “praise music world (Phoenix). In 2022, Praise Kusi got nomination for the ‘Ghana music Awards (USA)’ for “Best New Act, Best video (black melanin), Best Afrobeat Artist and Most popular song (spiritual vibes)”. One of the best records released was “Afro magic” (2022), which had over 1 million pre-saves on iTunes, Shazam and Spotify.
